Howdy everyone — my name is Andrew Watts, and I founded Drew X when I was just 13 years old.
Ever since I can remember, I've loved watches. When I was younger, I had this simple superhero watch that I loved wearing. Even though it wasn't expensive or anything crazy, every time I put it on, I felt different. More confident, more put together, and honestly just happier.
As I got older, I started realizing something important: the feeling I got from wearing that watch had nothing to do with how much it cost. At such a young age, I wasn't thinking about value, price tags, or luxury. I just knew it made me feel good wearing it.
That's when I realized a watch is way more than something that tells time. There's a feeling behind it.
Growing up, I always noticed the watch my dad wore. I remember staring at it and thinking how timeless and powerful it looked. That's when I started learning more about watches — the designs, the craftsmanship, and how much meaning people connect to them. A watch becomes part of your life. You wear it during important moments, memories, achievements, and everyday life.
When I was younger, I made myself a promise that one day I'd own a luxury watch. But as I got older, I realized a lot of those watches cost thousands and sometimes even tens of thousands of dollars. And while I still respect the craftsmanship behind them, I kept thinking about the feeling I had wearing that superhero watch as a kid. The feeling didn't come from the price. It came from what the watch meant to me.
I wanted to create watches that people could genuinely feel proud wearing every single day. Watches that feel timeless, clean, comfortable, and versatile. Something you can wear to school, to work, out with friends, to dinner, or during important moments in your life. A watch that fits naturally into your lifestyle and becomes part of your story.
